Meet The Guides

Shawn Zimmerman

My family and I are currently living on the shores of lake Cascade and are operating as General Managers for Deadwood Outfitters. I have been trained by expert local fishing guides, and am ready to lead guided trips on the lake. I can't wait to help give you the opportunity to reel in some memories!

I'm an avid hunter and fisherman in the great state of Idaho. I spend all year long outdoors with my family. I started ice fishing 5 years ago, and my family and I go up to Cascade as much as possible. We have spent plenty of hours figuring out what works and doesn't work on Cascade for Jumbos (Perch) and I can say with confidence we are more successful than not. I enjoy sharing the experience, whether it is your first trip out or trying for your personal best.

Lake Cascade

Located in Valley County Idaho (Boise National Forest), Lake Cascade is the 4th largest lake/reservoir in the state. The lake offers a beautiful setting for a successful ice fishing season.

Although the lake is known for it's world-class yellow perch, the lake also contains Trout, Small Mouth bass, Kokanee Salmon, and Coho Salmon.
